Registered Nurse (RN) – Full Time (Lake Park PPEC)
Location: Lake Park, FL
Schedule:
Rotating Saturdays (when needed)
Tender Care is a Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care (PPEC) center providing skilled nursing and developmental support to medically fragile children in a warm, collaborative environment. We are looking for compassionate, reliable RNs who love pediatrics and thrive in a team-based setting.
The full-time RN provides direct nursing care, developmental support, and clinical oversight to pediatric patients in our center-based setting. This role includes assessments, medication administration, parent education, and collaboration with LPNs, CNA's, and leadership to ensure high-quality care.
Provide primary nursing care including treatments, medications, assessments, feeding, respiratory treatments, and other physician-ordered interventions within RN scope
Conduct physical and developmental assessments; document all findings accurately
Administer medications via oral, g-tube, IV therapy, and phlebotomy as ordered
Provide developmental, psychosocial, and caregiver teaching and support
Supervise LPNs and DCPs in daily care tasks such as ADLs, positioning, diapering, feeding, and hygiene
Ensure safe, proper use of patient equipment and supplies
Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA, OSHA, and infection control standards
Follow each patient's individualized Plan of Care and report concerns to ADON/DON
Support a safe, positive, and nurturing environment for children
May act as Charge Nurse when DON is absent
Complete daily assigned tasks and assist with other duties as directed
Clear and unrestricted Florida RN License
CPR Certification
Ability to pass Level 2 AHCA Background Screening - https://info.flclearinghouse.com
Ability to comply with Drug-Free Workplace Policy
Strong patience, professionalism, multitasking, and communication abilities
Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions
Ability to lift 40 lbs and assist with mobility needs (standing, bending, transferring, pushing wheelchairs)
Two years of pediatric nursing experience (preferred, not required)
Experience with Microsoft programs and electronic documentation
Indoor/outdoor childcare clinical environment
Exposure to emergent situations, noisy environments, and biohazardous materials
May require riding in a transport van and participating in outdoor play as needed
